Spring is finally making its way to Providence. I have been busy in the AS220 Printshop working on some greeting cards to sell this summer at Craft Fairs. Above is my first print run on the Vandercook.
After that it was back to my studio to select ink colors and finalize the design for the inside panel. Today I printed the inside “world” layer and also a design on the envelope. Trimming, scoring, handcutting the circles and packaging to follow!
This is one of the best bands in Providence. I might be a little bias, because the guy all the way to the right is a childhood friend, Noah Block Harley. There music is available on myspace.
Seeing them live is inspiring, cause Noah is committed to his dream. It makes me think of book models in my head or possible narratives.
This little box sits in the corner of a table at AS220 and everytime I walk by it I stop and pick it up. I plan on making some boxes this weekend and to use the method of construction that I learned from Cor Aerssens.
